Czech Republic takes 15th place at M18 EURO 2016

Czech Republic won 39:30 (15:16) against Slovakia and took 15th place at EHF M18 EURO 2016.

For most of the first half result was a tie. Both team managed to get one goal lead but nothing more than that. As the end of first 30 minute s was approaching Slovakia got in two goal lead. Czechs scored last goal and went to break with only one goal deficit.

With three consecutive goals Czech Republic took the lead in second half. In 37th minute Czechs were leading with four goals. That showed to be enough for Czech to win in this match.

Jakub Prokop was best player in Slovakian team and Ondrej Skalicky got the award in Czech team.

“We were really motivated for this match. During preparations for this EURO we played seven or eight times against Slovakia so we know them very well. We wanted this win more and that’s why we won in the end.”
